When creating new Processor Resources, the New PR dialog (new OntoGazetteer, new OrthoMatcher, etc) don't validate the user's entry prior to submitting. The problem with showing a dialog after you've dismissed the dialog, is that the user then has to re-enter the settings and try again. +1 for this. It's more intuitive for users if the documents that make up the corpus appear as children of the corpus node.

The file filters which appear in the Open dialogs show the serialized object hash (i.e. "gate.util.ExtensionFileFilter@203b26b7"), and not the user friendly "All Files (*.*)". This can be easily fixed by overriding the File Filter's toString method.
I'm using GATE Developer version 5.0 build 3224 on Java 1.6.0_13 on Ubuntu Hardy Heron.

Writing the controllers by hand is rather time consuming and repetitive and it would be nice to go from a model to a working app in less than 60 seconds. :-)

It would be very useful if there was generic XSLT support in the Import/Export Wizard. There would be another export option (i.e. "To XML"), which would allow the user to select one of the previously loaded XSLTs. These XSLTs would be located in a directory which would be scanned at startup and added to a combobox. If the user does not see the XSLT they want, they would also be able to browse...
