Also - you can already achieve basically the same behavior by using presets. Turn the levels down in the sf2-player down to an acceptable level, and you can also enable the reverb if you want. Then: Click the Save-Preset (Disk icon) button on the instrument window to save the settings as a preset. Now you can load it from the side-bar under Presets tab instead of Instruments.

Yeah.. The notes have different behavior if they were placed there by the beat-editor. I agree it is somewhat quirky. I wonder what the best behavior is?.
