    The comments in the vmpsd.conf.header are incorrectly formatted and causes vmpsd to fail on startup. Bangs (!) should be used instead of semicolons.

  • Port shutdown should be detached

    If the ungoliant daemon is stopped will it is in the middle of restarting a port, that part will remain shutdown. A better behavior would be to launch a separate process and detach it from the ungoliant daemon, this way, in the event that ungoliantd is stopped, you are sure to finish the port shut/no shut process.

  • Mass deletion may cause mass port shutdown

    Using vmpsd, any time a change to a host is made, the hosts port will shutdown for 3 seconds, forcing the client to renew its ip address. However, when you have a netreg db full of clients, and you delete all of those clients from the web interface, then the ungoliant daemon will restart each of those ports.     I recently upgraded from 1.0 to 1.3.
