I find that I activate pinch-zoom more by accident than intentionally -- I'd really appreciate the option to disable pinch zooming in the Preferences.

I hate to sound negative here, but just attempt to go to the HTTP ViewCVS URLs for these projects -- mantisbt.svn.sourceforge.net is down, as is my project, terram.svn.sourceforge.net. Many such URLs are down, indicating a problem that doesn't have anything to do with particular SVN software or commands.
