I tried that workaround , it works in treminal like x-term etc but now i get a chracter deleted in editors like leafpad and others because of backspace.
is there some other workaround which i can use which will work both in xterm and leafpad and other editors simultaneously ?.

When changes are made to a phrase or content etc, even though save or revert is not pressed autokey goes ahead and saves the changes.

I think there is a bug when a hotkey is pressed in a terminal window like xterm.
Here are the steps to reproduce the bug.
1>Create a phrase named ping
2>Create the phrase content as "ping www.sourceforge.net" without the quotes.
3>Assign a hotkey to it.Like Super +i.make sure the hotkey has a super in it.
Then press Super+i in say a editor like leafpad or any other...

If autokey is not shutdown properly and i have seen it happen a few times randomly, it does not get a chance to delete the autokey.pid file and the next time when you run it you will get the error that autokey is already running and you will not be able to start it.
So to start it you need to delete the autokey.pid file which will be located in the folder which you installed or in the...

If that is the case can i request that we change the menu to something like "Copy/Copy/Paste Phrase" as i also got extremely confused considering all applications i know of uses Cut/Copy/Paste for the same purposes.
If needed i can file an enhnacement request for this.

Im using autokey heavily and i have seen a few crashes daily.However i don't know under what circustances these stacks are coming hence i will not be filing defects.

My understanding of Tray phrases is that they get showed in the tray.
So if you right click on the Autokey icon which typically will be shown in the bottom right corner of the screen , you will see in the menu tray phrases and in there all the phrases which you have in the Tray phrases section will be shown and you could click on it to execute those.
