Time to delete the file KeePass.ini. Do NOT delete anything else. Then try again.
cheers, Paul.

Depends on what you can see in the window.
If you can see the search box you probably need to drag the right hand column edge towards the right.
If you can't see the search box you need to drag the bottom right of the window downwards.

Yes it is a security issue. If you want it fixed ask Microsloth to change Windows so it doesn't record opened files. You could also clear the registry entries yourself via a trigger on database open.

Lee, bad users can change the passwords and email them to someone else. No KeePass needed.

I can now replicate this behaviour.
KeePass does open the window but it locates it off the screen in the top left corner and sets the size at minimum so you only get the buttons on the title bar. To see KeePass right click on the task bar icon and select Move. Press one arrow key once, then move the mouse into the middle of the screen.
cheers, Paul.

The lock file contains details about the use and the time the database was opened. This is used as a crude overwrite prevention mechanism. The lock file must be re-written within 10 minutes or it is assumed the database is not in use - prevents false in use messages if the lock file was not erased properly on lock.
The non lock bug only occurs if you do not have a password on resume set...

Key files do not need to be on the same drive or in the same directory either, as long as the file is a copy of the original.

Try the [generic XML importer][1].

If you have the data in V2 XML format and have a group specified, the data is imported into the root and the group remains intact. See the V2 import post [here][1].

Multiple entry edit is being discussed a couple of threads away from here.
AD support as you describe can't be done because there is no arrangement to limit views per group - ACL support. The database does not have the fields for this and most people would not want it.
What you can do is have multiple databases, which can be protected by NTFS and groups within AD.
cheers, Paul.
