Closing ticket. This is a fringe case which will not affect the vast majority of users. For those which this does affect, the suggested workaround of using a begininng balance of zero and a transaction will help with this issue.

I have decided to not include an undo, even in 3.1. The data model is not suited for this sort of transaction. As for deleting the wrong item, I have not been able to reproduce that.

I do not have Snow Leopard, and have no immediate plans to upgrade (not having Leopard itself, the upgrade would cost more than I care to spend on an upgrade, especially as I am running Debian as my primary OS on my laptop). Make sure that you have the right dates selected, both when you show reports and when you entered the transactions. A common mistake is to use the wrong year (for instance), and not see the reports you expect.
