We protect our hudson server using BASIC authentication. The attached patch adds the possibility to specify username/password in the application.properties file. It cannot be done using the configuration UI.

I get an annoying border around my charts. I don't get that with Google. The following line
chart.getPlot().setOutlineVisible(false);
gives a result closer to what Google produces.

Ok, no problem, I can maintain the file. It should be in the project root to work properly.
I've attached a new version which has some improvements over the older one. Will it be a problem that the Maven POM uses jfreechart 1.0.9 and jcommon 1.0.12? I noticed that you had committed newer versions of these jars. AFAICS the new versions are not yet in any Maven repository.
