Ok, a bit of an update.
Installing SMplayer (along with extra codecs and a MPlayer svn) from the official site doesn't play the FLAC in question.
However, installing this Mplayer pack ( http://mulder.dummwiedeutsch.de/home/?page=projects#mplayer ) , which is Mplayer, MPUI, SMplayer and some other things, enables the SMplayer of this pack to play the FLAC files. Not sure how it does it but...

Ok, I seem to have found the problem. It's as you said, it seems like a bug in mplayer with special characters in the file path itself. I moved a file that wasn't playing on a generic normal folder and it played it normally. Any workaround regarding mplayer's config file?.

Ok, did a test and actually tweaked the filename and the ID tags of one of these FLAC with english to check whether it's a language/symbol issue, but it still fails to play.
Also, the search seems to have a bug. If you sort the results in any other way than the intial shown, aTunes doesn't use the new sorting and if you add, say, the 10th song in the new sorting to the playlist, aTunes adds...

OK, I tried the latest Mplayer SVN build but the problem is there. I already have the "short path names" option enabled. I tried disabling it but it didn't work. However, out of a sample of 4 flac files I tried, ONE managed to play when I enabled "Cache files before playing" but the rest did not. From a quick browse, it seems like the FLAC that don't play have either...

1.13.2 has the same problems (needs admin rights to play music, a good number of FLAC don't play). The LastFM errors are gone from the log, the artist image is show but I still don't get the text below the artist image.

Ok, I uninstalled aTunes, deleted the program folder, plus the settings folder, installed the stable version. The admin rights problem is still there, but now I noticed many of my flac files don't play. The LastFM errors are still on the log, too.

BTW, the normal version has the same problem, so I thought I'd try the beta just in case it's a bug, but the beta seems the same in that regard.

Eh.. from lyricsplugin.com I suppose? Not sure, but Songbird doesn't use the official plugin, it uses one of its own stuff. I'm using the LyricMaster plugin on Songbird and I just select lyricsplugin.com instead of lyricswiki as the default lyrics server.
