Probably this is an issue of IM; JM is just passing the file name strings to IM without examing them.

Sorry, this must be a bug in ImageMagick's JPG decoder (jpg.c). We can't fix those. Try upgrading your IM to newest version and report it to the IM bug list.

JMagick is maintained by volunteers. If you ask in the mailing lists someone could do it for you, if you are not able to patch the code yourself.

JMagick is maintained by volunteers. If you look in the mailing lists some have experiemtented with 64-bit, but I think no sure conclusion has been made on this matter.
