main.c: In function 'setup_sigbus_handler':
main.c:716: error: 'SA_SIGINFO' undeclared (first use in this function)
main.c:716: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
main.c:716: error: for each function it appears in.)
I tried to look at the source and solution to me looks like configure check for SA_SIGINFO and disabling SIGBUS if it is not found.

Jpeg files can contain section with comments on they own and it does need to use EXIF for that. Some tools also use this for storing comments. It would be good if geeqie would support this.

It is often useful to sort photos by ctime, which is unfortunately currently lost if image is rotated in geeqie. It would be nice if it would keep the ctime or provide option to keep it.

Plugins should check whether all tools they use are installed and show a proper error message instead. Right now the action just silently fails and if user has not started geeqie from a terminal, he has no clue that something went wrong.

When moving of file fails (eg. running out of disk space), the partially copied file is kept on the new location. I think it should be removed on failure.

Geeqie displays first image in a directory you specified. I just
thought it would be useful to be able to select random image from a directory using
special option, e.g. "--select-random".

in the German translation, in the right side bar, the entry for the
title is named “Beschreibung”, but the corresponding entry in the
context menu of the right side bar, where you can add the various
fields, it is called “Titel”.
