I have been playing with CVS on sourceforge and totally
screwed up my tree and don't know how to start back
from scratch.
I tried looking for documentation on sf.net, but no
luck. Can someone clear it out for me or point me in
the right direction?.

I fat-fingered the candid.sql schema. On the last line, "INSERT INTO user ...", one of the fields is "added" and should be "created".
I just released 2.3.4 that has a web-interface to create the database/tables and makes sure PHP has all the functions required.
To access the setup.php, i.e. http://candid.scurvy.net/setup.php.

I just uploaded an updated package, 2.3.3, which includes candid.sql.
I am working on a web-based install/setup interface to automate the setup of config.inc and hope to have it finished by tonight.
