If you use a translation (i.e. not English), try to switch back to English. If it works, you've identified the problem... :)

I installed PHP iCalendar 2.31 yesterday. After switching to the German translation via "config.inc.php", everything worked fine, until I closed the webbrowser. When I re-started the webbrowser and loaded PHP iCalendar, all I got was an empty page (both on Ubuntu Jaunty and a commercial webserver). I've written a screenlet that displays information from "pal" on "Gnome" and other desktops. Right now the user has to make sure she (or he) doesn't use "compact mode", because it's impossible to distinguish parts of the date from the event (i.e. the rest of the line). Additionally, I have to parse the configuration file for "date_fmt", and I think localisation or missing translations...

This bug is from an older version of the program. Although it may
be still in the newest version, it's best to try the newest
version or at least check the docs to see if the bug has been fixed.

I'm sorry - while I did search this bugtracker, I never thought of looking on DADA mail's website for a solution...
Thanks for your answer. Everything works fine now using '2' instead of '0' in the external config file! Maybe you could add a comment in the external config template regarding the use of '2' to help others who have this issue...

I just installed Dada Mail 3.0.0 Stable on a Linux/Apache system with a separate ".dada_config" file. I added some variables, some of which are obviously being read from that file (such as "$ROOT_PASS_IS_ENCRYPTED = 1;"), whereas others seem to be ignored such as:
$SHOW_HELP_LINKS = 0;
$SHOW_ADMIN_LINK = 0;
