Never mind the bug report. I've installed OpenSuse 11.1 and now the bug is gone. Merry Christmas!

In the character creation map, the moongate is blue. IMHO it should be black, like the one you emerge from.

In version 0.6.1, splash.png contains the text "powered by Nazghul 0.5".

OS:
OpenSuse 11.0
Libraries:
SDL 1.2.13
SDL_image 1.2.6
SLD_mixer 1.2.8
libpng 1.2.26
Nazghul version:
0.6.1
The main menu works fine.
But when I start the tutorial or a new game, the console window shows a row of stars and nothing else, no matter what I do or who I talk to.
This weekend I'll install OpenSuse 11.1 and check if the bug is still there.

In Ultima 4 and 5, the game automatically returns to the surface view if you are *not* ambushed while camping.

"The hydra is a most difficult foe.
I understand conventional weapons are useless,
because striking them only increases their number!"
That can't be true, because I defeated the Hydra with bows and crossbows.
And I'm not sure what he means by "conventional". Magical weapons probably aren't conventional, but what about flaming oils?.

The Alchemist says:
"Search the east wall of the first cavern, you will find a hidden passage."
Searching the wall does nothing. Bumping into the right tile is what takes you to the secret passage. For people who take instructions literally, this could be a problem :-)
Maybe if the player searches the right tile, the game could tell him that it's an illusionary wall, or it could just remove...

There are two kinds of boulders in Haxima:
- the ones that are part of the map. They block movement, unless you're Mesmeme.
- the ones that Trolls throw at you. They don't block movement, and you can pick them up.
Things can get confusing when both boulder types are on the map. Two different boulder tiles would solve the problem.

When you press C, Ultima 4/5 displays your mixtures in the ztats window. It'd be neat if Nazghul/Haxima did this, too.
