I can confirm this, long messages are not sent using yahoo protocol and pidgin-encyrption, which makes this plugin really unusable.
C'mon, this has been submited 8 months ago and no response? Is this ever going to be fixed?.

I have a pretty busy website, with ~ 4.200.000 uniq visitators every month (20.000.000 pages, 5.700.000 visits), with load spread on two servers (round robin DNS). Each server has an apache log of ~170MB, daily. The statistics file reaches 500-600MB, for each month.
Since the traffic went up a little in the last months, during the last 3-4 days on every month, the generation of statistics...

When parsing the feed from http://www.hotnews.ro/rss, the date is not displayed in the "Date" column, only the headlines. This makes "sorting by date" impossible.
If I check that link from a browser, I can see that the dates appear in the feed, so I presume it's a liferea bug (the problem does not appear in Thunderbird rss reader, for example)...
Liferea version: 1.4.6 (latest from Debian...
