My backup is tar.gzed, so I repeat the restore instruction to see if there is a problem in it:
# gunzip < backup-2009-05-08.sql.gz | mysql -u root pscafepos
After this instruction it takes some 15 sec before returning to the prompt, so I think it is restoring my backup right. Could the problem be here?

Tried updating without dropping the database. I got:
"Update status
PSCafePOS error (1-6)
Database Error: Table 'creditTrans' already exists"
Dropped database, updated with no errors, restored backup again and went to Management, and got first message again:
"System error, incorrect schema, please run the schema update script!"
any light?

Hi,
I am using version 1.1.4. Now I am preparing a new server with version 2.0.5. and updated the schema on it. Restored a backup (from ver 1.1.4) on new server. When I try to access the management page I get the following:
"System error, Incorrect schema, please run the schema update script!"
What am I doing wrong?.

rename your pictures [studentid].jpg and dump them at /var/www/html/images/
Done this and the pictures apear on the point of sale screen as expected.

The help at http://pscafepos.no-ip.org is not active. Is pscafe on another site? I have to make a new server so need instructions on installation but cannot find your instructions on the above site.
