  • Adding a subview and updating in a thread?

I hope that subject isn't too confusing. I just started using MOViewController and I love it. I'm working on adding MOViewController to my app. Currently, I have a view that is loaded and then a second view that is added as a subview. The sub view is a status which displays a progress indicator and a text field. I update the text field five times right before I call a blocking web service. I...

  • Followup: RE: Azureus 2.3 + Tiger = kernel panics and 9

I have a dual 2Ghz G5 and I'm running Tiger with Azureus 2.3. I'm not having any OS stability problems. There are reports of problems with Azureus 2.3 on Windows and I am experiencing similar network issues. Before reverting to 10.3, I would suggest creating a new, clean user account and see if you have problems still. You might also want to consider going back to Azureus 2.2 and possibly...

  • Followup: RE: OS X Azureus hung/frozen

It's possible that Azureus is working when you quit. I think it caches connections. If you have a lot of torrents downloading and seeding, then quitting can take some time. I have a PowerBook which is about as fast your iBook and I use Azureus 2.2.0.2 without problems. It does take a long time to stop a torrent with a lot of connections and can take some time to quit too. Try again and let it go...

  • Followup: RE: Azureus OS X: File Anomalies (and a bug)

The issue with paths on Mac OS X that you talk about can be addressed in one way - aliases. Azureus uses paths as do almost all Cocoa apps by default. Cocoa does not have any built in support for aliases but plenty of support for paths. Nathan Day wrote NDAlias which adds support for aliases. Try the download window in Safari and Camino. Notice that if you move or rename the downloaded file...

  • Followup: RE: Cannot delete or rename category names

Although those are features that would be cool to have, you can edit the categories in the file, categories.config, in the Azureus configuration folder (on my Mac, it's at ~/Library/Application Support/Azureus/categories.config)

  • Followup: RE: JAVA 1.5 ???????

Hi, Java 1.5 is Java 5.0 so go ahead and get J2SE 5.0. Sun likes to muck with versions and make the minor number major. I don't know why. Like Java 1.2 became Java 2, Java 1.5 became Java 5.0. Good luck.
