Changing window_tiling=no with terminal_args= -geometry 120x40 it works great.
It's still screwed up if
window_tiling=yes
I retried terminal_size=80x4 with window tiling off. One window is the wrong size but the others are ok.
The always_tile does not seem to do much for me. (This is all under KDE 3.x on Kubuntu 8.04.2)

Using Kubuntu 8.04.2 with KDE. I just tried icewm and it works fine. So it may be a KDE problem.

It works for the first terminal but the others are still the default size.

This is caused by a change in the default behaviour for postgres. The system now protects data by expecting things in a certain encoding. This character seems to be the non-breaking space. To fix the data run a replace using sed on the dumped file.
sed -e 's/\xA0/ /g' oldfile > newfile.

when restoring a database into postgres 8.3 errors are coming up and data is missing. The errors are
invalid byte sequence for encoding "UTF8":0xa0.
