Problem persists in 1.3.5.
Here is a workaround:
1. Install xdotool. Create a script 'mousebug' containing
#!/bin/bash
xdotool mousemove 10 50
xdotool type "
"
2. Add this line to ~/.icewm/startup:
xterm -e mousebug.

Under xorg 7.4 (xorg server 1.7.1) and intel video driver i915, the mouse cursor is invisible right after icewm starts. This happens with both 1.2.38pre1 and 1.3.4pre2. The only way I found to make it visible is starting an xterm, pressing several times, and closing the xterm again. Hardware is a Vaio Z notebook, running Crux 2.6, with latest drivers, all self-compiled. No such problem...
