  • Maven

Due to the modularity of the system, Maven makes very god sense as a build system. I tried using the MasterBuild system and quickly ran into problems. Would you consider the use of Maven to bild and release your project? If so, I'll volunteer to write Maven based module build system for you. Also, if you are interested, would you consider changing your directory structure to the default...

  • Parsing/Decoding without native libraries

Is it possible to parse/decode only without the use of native libraries? I have no need to capture, just read and filter packets from existing pcap files. Thanks! Birch.

  • Filter

I am using version 0-2-4 and am trying to use a filter. I simply want to filter on a packet that has a tcp dest port of 80. The following does not seem to work. Any ideas? import com.slytechs.jnetstream.system.RuntimeEnvironment; import com.voytechs.jnetstream.codec.Decoder; import com.voytechs.jnetstream.codec.Linker; import com.voytechs.jnetstream.codec.Packet; import...

  • Server based sniffer

Has there been any thought given to using OSGi as a basis for a server based sniffer product? The protocol analyzers could be dynamically loaded and unloaded at runtime as bundles. Just throwing it out there. Birch.

  • parsing/decoding

I only need to parse or decode existing pcap files. Do I still need the native libraries to do this? If so, is their any pure java solution for parsing/decoding pcap files? I have no need to read off of a live stream. Thanks! Birch.

  • Getting Exception Information

When performing a compile on an XQuery using the StaticContext, if something is wrong, it throws an XPathException. There is also information printed to Standard Err. How do I access the same information printed to Standard Err? It contains much more detailed information such as line number, etc. Thanks! Birch.

  • Followup: RE: Overriding a function

Thanks Michael. That looks like it will do exactly what I want. Birch.

  • Overriding a function

Is it possible to override a built-in function of Saxon? For instance, I want to provide my own implementation of the Collection function that does not read the xml files to be used from within a single document. Perhaps it would find them in a database or similar. Is this possible? Thanks! Birch.

Well, it worked for a little bit!!!!! I guess AOL doesn't like me logging on and off all the time whilst I develop... :D Birch.
