I was getting this message on Ubuntu 9.04 when kicking off ganyremote from the command line.
I had ganyremote 5.4.1 installed through Synaptic. I then compiled 5.8 from the website and rebooted. And the problem seems to have gone away. Sorry I was not able to pinpoint what was causing it. My guess it the newer version filed it, but it also could have been cleared up by a full reboot.

For what it's worth I have been able to get it to work with my Blackberry Bold tonight using Bluetooth.
The BB is touchy with web browsers and IP, and you might try different browsers. On the BB this can be set under setting, advanced options, browser, and then you have the options of HotSpot Browser, Blackberry Browser, MediaNet, and Internet Browser.

I do not have the same setup, but I'm pretty sure if you do not have a /dev/lirc then the proper module is not loading. Running "modprobe -a (put correct module name)" Then try starting "lircd -n" where the n tells it to not run in the background. This may show you errors, or "dmesg" or "tail /var/log/messages" may show what is happening. After the...

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
How can I get a USB to serial adapter to work with my old serial setup? The USB to Serial adapter comes up fine as /dev/ttyUSB0 while my old device was /dev/ttyS0 Is there a way to make this work?

I have recorded some TV shows using my PVR-150 card
with Mythtv. After editing out the commercials with
mythtv using the mythtv cutlist, I then exported the
program using nuvexport. The resulting mpeg file plays
PERFECTLY with mplayer.
However when I run DVDstyler, it complains and tries to
