    @gualixo that sounds like almost entirely new graphic set not to mention XIX century units (Belgium exists since about 1830s). Sure ability to play in that era is a great idea, but it probably won't happen before Free Col 2, there might be at least a decent Africa map/scenario coming in forseable future, though. @hutzli Back to the new graphic set I think, that such more cartoonisch graphics...

    I'll never understand that... do so much work just to give it up and bury fruits of your work forever? I can understand that SweCol team cmay no longer have time to work on the game but it's unbelievable that they would loose interest in Colonization totally and completely, that they wouldn't even visit other sites once in a while. Did they die in some tragic accident or sth...?!

  • Comment: Defeating REF at sea is too easy

    I've got a question; why make up our own game if original Col offers a cheat that is perfect in it's shamelessness. The MoW were just appearing out of thin air 1 turn from the Declaration of Independence 1- 2 sqares from the colonies and it was virtually impossible to stop them.     Just a sec.... Forgive me for splitting hairs, apparently I didn't understand how switch between buildings in the newest Free Col works, but while reading mpope's answer a though occured to me. Any chance of merging "this bug" with the Stockade option (That could help keep difficulty even, as well as create a more Col 1 faithful ruleset option for those who want it)? - For the record, I'm not...

    Yeah, I'm an optimist myself, but that's pushing it :) Very glad you made that report. I had a similar cas, but I lost the save file somehow, during the change of computer. I could probably find a save with about 4 lumberjacks in a row, though.

    It is an example of a situation where Free Col sharply deviates from COl 1. Decrease of population didn't stop building construction once it begun in Col 1. Somebody will now pop in and say that it was a bug; Perhaps, but in Col 1 you could also switch between buildings without loosing hammers, or store hammers before sellecting a building.
