SMplayer doesn't prevent turning off monitor if it is set in power settings. I don't know what about Gnome but this issue affects KDE 4.3.2 in my case (I use Kubuntu Karmic). It happens to the official Karmic package (0.6.7) but also to 0.6.8 from different ppa's and newest svn builds. Annoying and inconvenient.

Hi,
I can not compile projectM on ubuntu Karmic. I've installed all suggested dependencies (i think). So that's what I get after I run 'make':
