Thanks. The -b argument works, at least to fix the main issue of the multiple error messages. The error is still displayed and logged during a manual backup, but that's not a very big deal.

I don't know all that much about Java (yet), but it seems to me that the "java.util.Timer" command could be used somehow to set a time limit on how long the program will stay open after the backup is completed. there appear to be several ways to make a java program self-terminate, including "System.exit(n)".

I receive this error: "# Error while performing post processing: java.lang.Exception: Error ftping the file." whenever the program creates a backup. I don't actually have the FTP feature checked off in the settings. Also, the error popups will stay up on the screen from each day's backup, so when I come back on Monday I have several to close out of.

i have a few projects that didn't really go anywhere and i'd like to remove them if possible. the first project is Update All (update), which never had any code released or produced.
a second project is called Printable Card Game (pcg). it has some files, but no code since the entire project was going to consist of word documents. i don't think the documents could be useful to any other...
