ah, thanks: I'll try that.
I use this function regulary when I annote a given document, e.g.a paper or a script from the university, and need more room in the middle of the document for notices. Or when do homework with xournal and see that I need more room for a task which is more in the front.
Btw, it annoyes a little that it repeats the background even if I annote a pdf ;-)

hi,
as promised I started reading the code and I'm trying to add a few simple things.
The bad thing is that I'm stuck even on simple things like adding a new toolbutton1 which does the same as "new page after" - I using the same handler for the button as for the menu, as e.g. the menuentry and toolbutton for saving so - but I'm getting

14 days left, then I have my last test, then I'm away for a week, then I'll look after the code :-)
I only wrote the posts at the beginning of July to get as many suggestions as possible - and perhaps there even exist patches for some of the mentioned things ;-)

I think the idea with taring (or using zip as e.g. Openoffice does) is not bad.
This way we could create and save thumbnails easily, which could be used for scrolling through big document searching a specific side.
It alsocould be usefull for the mentioned math-plugin.
Additionally, we could break down the xml-file (index + capitels) which could make reading a lot faster...

I'll try to program some pieces after the summer term is over (30. July :-) )
I have already downloaded the code, it seems to be fearly well readable, and also played with glade. But If I program already now, I know me good enough to know that I would miss the tests badly^^.

Another thing which hurts me is that xournal doesn't have an autosave ability nor any other recovery function after crashing / powerloss/whatever.

the next thing is adding a category schema or list of contents. so I can structure my notices far better.
