Hello,
PWS 3.11 has a new version check function in Help/About, which is great.
I'd like to suggest that whatever info is set after the check query is complete be kept in memory for as long as the instance of PWS is running.
Current behavior is the info is lost when the About window is closed.
This is really up to the author to implement or not. One problem I could see is if the...

Well thanks anyway. It is very interesting to know the reason why it could (or should) not be done.

That is fair, but may I ask then what does PWS use when it saves the db after a change is made? Surely, the key is required then but the user is not asked for it.

It would be nice if the MERGE call attempted silently the passphrase of the database currently open on the database being merged in. If the test fails, the usual passphrase prompt is shown (current behavior) but if the test is good, merging the two databases would start immediately without bothering the user for a passphrase.
Thanks.

Hi/Bonjour,
When running the program on my Win XP Pro x64 workstation (SP2) I get the error message that only XP and Vista are supported OS's.
I am assuming here that the above message refers to "regular" XP, 32 bit. Maybe the program IS compatible to x64 except the OS-check routine just does not recognize the XP backbone.
In any case I would love to try out the program so please add...

Update2:
After yet another reboot it turns out the problem did not reproduce itself simply by clearing the MRU list.
I tried 4 times to no avail. Then I decided to open another db (my own db for passwords) to add at least a second item to the MRU list. When I returned to the db under test, I got the corruption before I could clear the MRU list.
It now appears to me you need to switch...

Update:
After a reboot the problem would not reproduce with the procedure mentionned yesterday.
However I have reproduced again the problem by performing a "Clear Recent Safe List" from the file menu, exiting, and doing the procedure.
It appears that when the problem has shown itself once, the procedure will repeatedly reproduce the problem (until the next reboot).
I am sorry if all...
