Try replacing
$irc->add_handler( 'chancmd !rules', 'show_rules' ); with this line instead;
irc->add_handler( 'chancmd rules', 'show_rules' );
The chancmd automatically assumes that teh command starts with !. It could be made configurable, but assuming ! makes parsing commands a lot easier.
You should also be aware that with your current code the !rules command will display the...

Hello,
You might consider this a feature and not a bug, but trying to set audit plugins before setting the target does not seem to stick. If it is a feature rather than a bug. perhaps you should display a warning message stating that target should be set before selecting plugins.
Steps to reproduce:
w3af>>> plugins
w3af/plugins>>> audit xpath htaccessMethods xss sqli ssi

I think Wapiti could benefit from a nice progress
indicator/bar.
I would like to see a percentage based indicator,
either as a bar or simply the numbers shown. I would
also like to have a activity indicator such as rotating
/-\| or a blinking character to indicate that the
process is active.

Although it has been some time since there was anything new on the goki front development is ongoing albeit slow.
Version 0.6 is comming with new plugins and rewrite of all existion plugins to be OO compatible.
With the introduction of a proper user system comes the big one, the basis for a botnet framework.
The future looks promising from where I stand.

Avaiting version 0.6 there has been enough develpment in other areas of the bot to warrant a new release.
