Since the control port doesn't have a password yet, it would be good, security-wise, to bind the control port only to the loopback interface.
There could be a command line option to change the interface as well (though that's not my request).
To force it to the loop back interface, all we need is a single line change:

Thanks for a great piece of software. I use eqonomize regularly and in my free time I would like to contribute back to the source (if the authors are willing :)
I would like to know if there are any plans for migrating to Qt4. Apart from the better experience that Qt4 gives to the user, I think it would also help development, since people with Qt4 background (like myself) don't have to...

I use the filter option to search my accounts for transactions. The filter
for "description" seems to be:
1. case sensitive (that's good)
2. matches exact position (that's bad)
for example if my transactions are:
Bill for Nov
Payment to Loser
Large expense
.. and I type 'l' in the description field; it only matches the "Large
expense", whereas it could match Bil'l' as well as...

Btw, the URL you posted doesn't talk about "task linking". Is the same as Predecssors. If so, the option is visible for tasks that don't have predecessors too.
