I found an interesting problem with the way iRate handles the download of new music. Since it fits the subject, I added it here.
The error can be observed in both 0.3 and the new 0.5.
All tracks I am supposed to download are from http://artists.iuma.com, which does not respond at this time.
Executing "host artists.iuma.com" does not yield a valid result. So there is no server...

I have the same behaviour, same stack trace.
I run Eclipse 3 Milestone 6.
I have lots of other plugins and features installed, but the stack trace seems to indicate that it's an Insectivore-only problem (there's no intermediary or factory involved), but what do I know. ;-)
If it would help, I'd disable / remove all other features and plugins and try again.
Juri.

Hi,
thanks for trying out jRSVP. :-)
There seems to be an API change between the version of Multivalent I used and the newest one.
Try to obtain 0.6.20030214 for the moment. I'll add a quick-fix in the next days.
I'm also long overdue for a new version and will, hopefully, get it done within a week or two.

This is a new, greatly improved version which fixes all known bugs (hopefully without introducing new bugs ;-) ).
The architecture has been reworked to make better use of Swing features.
I would sugggest all users of previous versions to upgrade.

Sorry for double posting, but it was in the wrong thread...
"But the problem is that i cannot see anything if i try to open a pdf file, and i get the following warning when i try to open it."
This is strange. I have yet to find a PDF that I can't open.
File parsing is done through the Multivalent Library.
Could you please use the Multivalent library to open the file?

You need Java 1.4.

Hi,
I can help you with that. It sucks. But it's a Java "feature". :-(
If you start with -jar, the classpath is only the jar.
Even if you write -cp _classpath -jar _jarfile, this won't work in 1.4 anymore (it did in some earlier versions).
So, I either would have to package both libraries in the jar, bloating it severely as you'd have to download the libraries again and again with...
