Hi, Jules,
There look like not much activities on this project at Eclipse site. The latest pacakge was June 8, 2008. I took a look at the roadmap, it mentioned it's going to change the backend to GMF. Wondering when that would happen? Also, do you have a timeline post RC4?
Thanks in advance.
Dafang.

Master Matt,
I still need to figure out why the /dev/iscsi_1 didn't get created, though. Other thoughts? :)
Best,
Dafang.

Aah, you are absolutely right, Matt! I just changed the configuration file, and it worked without even re-running the VMware plugin script or restarting the openqrm server. My only suggestion is to list all the data stores on the UI so that the users could just select where they would like to deploy their VMs. I know it's probably on your plate already.. Please let me know if you think this...

Hi, Matt,
Thanks for replying to my inquiry. :) I followed your very fine instructions almost line-by-line, except switching from VMware Server 2 to ESX 3.5 U3. That means, yes, I downloaded the minimal Ubuntu 8.04 image from your image-shelf, and all seem went fine, except the /dev/iscsi_1 not created. I really don't know what else to look into now. But just wanted to let you know that I...

Googling /lib/udev/getlun.sh doesn't help. I then came back and reviewed your notes again, and realized that you were asking the questions about the VM appliance. :) Ok, here you go..
cat /proc/partitions
major minor #blocks name
8 0 2097152 sda
I do see /lib/udev/getlun.sh from the VM appliance.
I'm not sure how to get the udev updated to a newer version in the initrd.

Hi, Matt,
Sorry to bother you again, but I'm still getting the same errors, after I configured the passwordless for www-data.
I actually found the owner for /var/www was root, and all the files under are root-owned as well. I had to chown -R www-data /var/www before I can go through the password-less process.
I would think the root was used on behalf of www-data. As mentioned, the vm...

Hi, Matt,
I don't think the file /lib/udev/getlun.sh exists. This is a Ubuntu 8.04 Server install, followed the instructions here - http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-ubuntu8.04-lts. I'll research a bit more on why this file is missing.
Here's the output from cat /proc/partitions:
root@ubuntu804:~# cat /proc/partitions
major minor #blocks name
8 0 20971520 sda.

Hi, Matt,
I'm back bugging you again.. :)
I successfully followed your cloud instructions all the way to starting the appliance (http://www.openqrm.com/?q=node/119), but encountered the following errors from the VM console:

.
mount: mounting /dev/iscsi_1 on /mnt failed: No such file or directory
Error: Could not mount /dev/iscsi_1 via iscsi
