I find this useful, and suspect others will also.
Here the term "cyclic lookup" means when JaLingo has two inverse dictionaries loaded (LangA to LangB and LangB to LangA), when displaying the definition for an article it will perform a lookup of all the article's terms.
I find this infinitely helpful for discovering the nuances of a word.
Currently, this patch is highly suboptimal...

The bad news is I already tried clearing my PATH and unsetting the Active Directory domain related variables (like %LOGONSERVER% and friends). No help.
I will spend some time digging around the old wiki and see how far I can get toward building the debugging version of MSYS. The objective is to get strace on /bin/ls or /bin/date (since their syscalls should be pretty finite), but if during...

I can appreciate that. My follow-up question is about how can I help myself?
The only profiling tools I am aware of require re-compilation, and I don't especially want to go down that path (but I will, if you think it'll help and we've exhausted the other options).
Are there any tools like "strace" for msys?
I have access to the Visual Studio stuff, if it contains some magic debugging...

I apologize for the lack of environment information.

I found one other reference to the problem I am experiencing:
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=1944785&forum_id=338575
I am experiencing this, too, but it's not just rxvt.exe. It is every MSYS binary.
It seems (on my system) to be somehow related to starting up the MSYS subsystem.
Observe (from a command prompt):
1. cd \msys\1.0\bin
2. .\date.exe
# this takes 7...

I went in search of the definition for the Directory/@Id which targets %WINDIR%\system32, and found a comprehensive list at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa372057.aspx (full disclosure: I found it as a link from the WiX tutorial at http://www.tramontana.co.hu/wix/lesson1.php#1.2 ).
In my opinion, this list would be a great addition to WiX.chm, with a reference to the MSDN article to...

I am unable to remove project-level monitors because https://sourceforge.net/my/monitor.php?tracker_show_inactive=1 does not list monitored projects.
The SourceForge.net documentation (https://sourceforge.net/docs/E03/en/#tracker_monitoring) says that it should.
Specifically, I accidentally clicked "monitor project" on the gpsbabel project and am unable to de-monitor the project.
Please...

I mentioned that I can find the filemonitor (such as "http://sourceforge.net/project/filemodule_unmonitor.php?filemodule_id=29413"), but (as a concrete example) I am constantly receiving mail about the "dangerdeep-Bugs" monitor ("https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=535546&aid=1676774&group_id=71244") that I probably started monitoring a long time ago, but there is no "dangerdeep"...

Not just the filemonitor, which I know how to find, but back under the old theme there was a "monitor project" (different from monitoring file releases).
Now I am getting tons of tracker emails from projects I don't contribute to, but am unable to find a way to kill the project-level monitor for them.
Any input you can offer will be _greatly_ appreciated!

I detest in a large way the new AJAX-y theme on SourceForge.net. Is there a way to "downgrade" to a simpler, and thus _lighter_, theme?
Thanks kindly,
