I can confirm this on x86_64, and the source of it too. long is the same size as int on x86, but long is 64 bit on x86_64 where int is still 32 bit. Quite a common problem compiling an app written on x86, as it happens.

Sometimes when I'm trying to write a table, GNOME Inform 7 starts doing strange things with tabs, inserting spaces instead and other such unpleasantries. since Inform likes tabs to separate table fields, it gets a bit irritated by that and refuses to compile my files, so I end up pasting tabs in from the clipboard or PRIMARY, having copied them from gedit. I see this with quite a lot of feeds since switching to Liferea 1.2 (as included in Ubuntu Feisty) as opposed to the version which was included in Ubuntu Edgy. Every time certain feeds update, I have to wade through lots of apparently new items which aren't new and don't appear to even have been modified in any way. On the same feeds, 1.0 didn't behave this way.
