I have updated the translations several times now with updates made by others on Ubuntu's Launchpad. I believe I merged these changes but it is so long ago I can't remember for sure. Closing this bug and if the de.po needs more work please submit a new bug.

Years and years ago Johannes provided me with a picture with GPS data in the EXIF. In attempting to reproduce this issue I uploaded this picture while resizing it. The EXIF data still included GPS information on Flickr. I then downloaded the picture and used exiftool to examine the EXIF GPS data and it was still intact.
