The capability of 'lcal' to control colors (via the '-s' command-line option was expanded in the new 2.1.0 release. This essentially allows what the submitter of this item requested (and much more). This item is now considered closed.

Hi Monte,
What you're seeing is (probably) not actually a bug. I know, we've all heard that one, right? :^)
I suspect your calendar file has some entry prior to the one you mention above which contains an explicit year. If so, 'pcal' will "remember" this year and stops processing any entries that have a "wildcard" year, like the one causing your problem.
