  • move some settings to global scope

Settings such as the font size are probably better off in a global, host-independent scope.

  • initialise new hosts from default

It would be nice if the settings for new hosts would be initialised from the Default host, e.g. SSH2-only and the key to be used.

  • IPv6 connections

The E71 (Symbian S60r3 FP1) suports IPv6. It would be nice if PuTTY would be able to make connections using IPv6.

  • Comment: cannot handle UTF8 BIB files

Logged In: YES user_id=36552 I had a file before I started to work with jabref. It was utf-8 encoded, and jabref messed up the display of characters. When I saw the encoding header it added, I tried modifying it manually. So I guess there's still a bug, namely jabref failing to detect the encoding when opening a file for the first time (i.e. without the header). I wonder whether...

  • Comment: cannot handle UTF8 BIB files

Logged In: YES user_id=36552 yeah, sorry... silly me. it opens the file, but all special characters, like ä or é are replaced by two bytes like "Âé", the standard unicode conversion problem that is. However, I also found the problem. I was using UTF-8 for the encoding, because it was ISO8859-1, so I included the dash. Using just UTF8 works. The file is now properly read as UTF-8.

  • cannot handle UTF8 BIB files

Even though I have default encoding set to UTF8, jabref cannot open my UTF8-encoded .bib files, and it fails to save UTF8-encoded.
