The file tex.properties includes a redefinition of word.characters for three groups of file patterns. The list does not include accented characters, common in natural-language words used in TeX's main text.
Suggested change:
word.characters.$(file.patterns.tex)=$(chars.alpha)$(chars.numeric)$(chars.accented)\@...

I have corrected the lexer and support files for the R language, originally submitted by Stephen Stagg in 2005.
R is a powerful statistical system based on the S language, see:
www.r-project.org
The original thread with R lexer and .properties files is here:

The author seems to have given up...

The R explorer would be much more useful to me if I could easily navigate to a definition of a function listed in the explorer window.
For example:
Say, I am editing a file script.R, containing a function f(). The function was already submitted to R and is listed in the R explorer.
I would like to double-click the function "f" entry in the explorer and have Tinn-R search for a pattern "f

Hi,
I am editing a book written in LATeX, about 280 pages,
740kb source, takes seconds to compile. TeXlipse often
stops responding when I edit that file. The hourglass
is displayed and no editing is possible in the Eclipse
window. The window cannot be minimized and does not
repaint its contents after it was hidden. The program
simply stops responding. It usually lasts 5-15 minutes...

An example of a Sweave file with Latex-style syntax may be
found at the Sweave site:
http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~leisch/Sweave/example-1.Stex
You may compare it with the NoWeb version:
http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~leisch/Sweave/example-1.Snw
The difference is essentially that the delimiters between
the Latex and R blocks are \begin{Scode} and...

I find Tinn-R very useful, and I am starting to use it
with Sweave. I think the LATeX style of Sweave syntax
is much more readable than the noweb syntax, at least
for LATeX users.
To support LATeX style syntax of Sweave in Tinn-R it
would be enough to change the >>= and @ delimiters to
\begin{Scode} and \end{Scode}, or offer such a change
as an option, or associate it to .stex and .rtex...

In case anyone comes to this site, I'd like to let you know that I am working on another solution to the problem that Projects Briefcase was supposed to solve.
When using Projects Briefcase I have found that with time you get just too many directories with different versions of your files. It is also not always possible to know in advance what files you may be needing.
I have written a...
