I don't k now which would be easier to port but the HP-UX version addressed some nagging issues that existed in the Tru64 version so its probably the better one to start with. If you haven't looked at the documentation, you might want to start there for a description of the overall design and the things that were addressed as part of the port.

Its nice to hear from a happy advfs user!
When we released the code last summer, a developer or two took a stab at trying to get it to compile but stopped after a week or so.
HP didn't attempt a port because having ported it once already, we thought it would be more work than we could take on ourselves and that by the time we finished, btrfs would already be out. It also seems like...

At this point no one is working on porting the file system to Linux. The code was released as a reference implementation for anyone who wanted to see how it was implemented and perhaps re-use the designs or the code in a Linux file system.
If you're interested in advfs, you might consider the btrfs project as it has a similar feature list and plans to go beyond what we have with advfs.

I'm trying to build the audit test suite on SLES11 RC3 and hit a problem building utils/bin/do_creat.c. It assumes that SELinux is at least installed on the system and wants to include selinux.h and link with libselinux. We need to conditionalize this file and associated tests to not require SELinux on systems that don't have it since CAPP doesn't depend on SELinux.

I'm trying to access the site statistics for the AdvFS project and all I get is this message:
Error fetching statistics data: Connection to statistics server timed out - Please retry shortly
