Two things:
1. TTX support is already provided by my external "Toxic" utility. I've made Toxic as user-friendly as I possibly can: there's even a Windows executable. Interest has been very low, so I have my doubts about how much demand there actually is for TTX support. Internal support within OmegaT would obviously be nice; it's a matter of priorities.

Obviously, if there is a clipboard bug, it would be nice for it to be fixed. On the other hand, if the bug was only noticed because of the new API, implementing my suggestion would solve the immediate problem, with huge additional benefits.

The existing scripting API was designed to export data from OmegaT in order for it to be processed. For envisaged uses, see the RFE for the function. It was intended to make information available to the translator (for example, by passing terms to exeternal glossaries).

That was the source of my confusion.
It is logical as it is:
Ctrl+Shift+C: under Edit
Source+target segments export on/off: under Options > Editing behaviour.

My mistake. I thought the setting was under "Edit".
"Export the segment to text files" is fine if it is under "Options" (i.e. Options > Editing behaviour).
(If it were under Edit, I would understand it as an action, in which case it would be misleading.)
