  • Followup: RE: Is this project still alive???

Hi, it's my intention to restart working on this project ASAP...unfortunately, I'm sooooo close to my graduation, I've got a part time job where I hope to get hired after my graduation, that I haven't got yet enough time to take everything and refactoring (which is what this project really needs)

  • Followup: RE: How to retrieve cal once published..HELP

Hi, I believe that you didn't select correctly which folders /remotecalendars you should publish remotely, and that you publish in this way an empty calendar (it creates the file, but with no entries). When you click on the "Publish button", a form should appear. You should select the folders containing the local events you'd like to publish/the remotecalendars you'd like to republish...

  • Followup: RE: Need Help Building

This software as been always developing, as some software is, and I fully know about problems regarding RC are being reported, but as I kept telling you, there are motives why this project hasn't been updated for a long time. Check the history, how fast has evolved this project, how many bugs has been closing, how many features has been adding and so on...but it has reached a critical situation,

I didn't finish the previous message while the RC team has been adding for months new features and bugs fixes before many problems that happened (first of all, lack of time, since this isn't our main work and we cannot mantain ourselves or a family with it: it's passion which drive this project, but passion with no time doesn't lead to anything)

  • Followup: RE: Need Help Building

Hi, would you care to explain the "numerous logic bombs in the code"? I know that RC isn't perfect, and it needs some major refactoring (something I'm saying, and not denying)...but it's easy to criticize, while the RC team has been adding for months new features and bugs fixes, and since this project has changed in 2 years at least 3 times the basic technology in order to build a...

  • Followup: RE: What the...

Hi, there are a few problems concering Google Calendars syncing as it was original developed: -since I hadn't enough time to develop a complete system based on their XML, I went through a dirty way: I downloaded the iCalendar, parsed the events, saved their google reference, and then inserted (it was also needed for the recurrence pattern, which uses the default iCalendar standard), so it...

  • Followup: RE: Working source download?

But what the hell have you dowloaded? :) First of all, you should check for the SVN, not the CVS...that's the updated source. http://remotecalendars.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/remotecalendars/NewTrunk/ TesterOutlook was a package used a long time ago, not required from a long long time...I just need to update the doc. NUnit it has never been used, it was required by another project, that's...

  • Followup: RE: Working source download?

Hi there, if you could be more precise on what assemblies seems to be missing, I could help you. The oproject has gone to many refactoring over the packages (once the main package was called RemoteCalendarsLibrary, then it was changed to RemoteCalendars.Core), so it might be that the problem...in the latest source zip there are all the packages used for RemoteCalendars (it happened to me that...

  • Followup: RE: Don't waste your time

Hi, I know that it's always in beta, but unfortunately at the moment I can't do anything more... I'm planning in the next future (after March, finally, I'll have some time free) to completely refactor this feature, by changing the way it works... Unfortunately, this takes time which at the moment I haven't got it... RemoteCalendars was at first developed for normal iCalendars, and then I add...
