One other note: I read that setting the speed to 100 MBit/s should fix the hangs. At least for this machine it didn't. Although it took a lot longer for it to hang after initiating a drbd sync.

Today I had some time to test.
Disabling TSO did not make a real difference (I'm attaching a log anyway)
I'm also attaching a log with the patched driver. I captured two hangs. I hope that's enough.

dmesg output from system boot to first hang is already attached. (dmesg.info) If this is not what you want, please point me in the right direction how to get the required output. Thanks.
Yes, there is a 'NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth1: transmit timed out' message.
The other side reports a 'link down' and about 2 seconds later the link is up again. Unfortunately this is enough to break the drdb...
