I can confirm this.
A user put a char with a 0 out as a char instead of an int and it made Tail 4 win32 go haywire.

Yup, it is clearly outside the scope of the purpose of the app, but a little scope creep may not harm in this case and may find a welcome home in many people's hearts.
:P
Otherwise Smultron is my current preferred editor (I harly ever fire up Vim anymore!)

What would be really useful is to have some form of transparent encrypted file handling supported.
This could be done in two ways:
1. Working with actual files
Using openssl (with and perhaps without public/private keys) to do password-based editing of encrypted .enc files.

Many machines in the corporate environment will be locked down, so someone else can fall into this trap and be left with a permanently unusable Synergy installation.
The weird part is that it gives these access errors even when you just want to view the current status to toggle it off...
A fix for this is to remove the Startup-Item from...
