Black bars appear on the left & right if jedit screen is made to fit across two screens.
The bars cover the menubar & toolbars at the top, the text area & borders at the sides, and the status bar at the bottom.

Hi,
I have found that the correct libieee1284 has already been installed in Ubuntu....
The original source of the problem has not been found, but it doesn't matter so much anymore.

Hi,
When I try to download any plugin, I get a dialog box, saying:
"An I/O error occurred (no route to host)"
I checked the plugin forum for "route host", but didn't get a hit. I got a Ubuntu 7.04 distro, uname -a gives:
Linux krusty 2.6.20-16-generic #2 SMP Thu Jun 7 20:19:32 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux

Yep, my bad - there was no distinction between a project & a group - they looked the same & I had created a group.
If you feel that this is of no help to others, may I ask that the thread be removed, please?

I was looking at some editors to replace the SourceInsight which I found on this machine, but appears to be a pirated copy.
Just downloaded jedit & looked at it and thought "where's the project or session capability, or even just a plain folder-tree view?
Then I saw 'plugins'.
I downloaded a bunch of plugins, along with ProjectViewer.
This plug-in does not have advertised...

I just installed Ubuntu Linux distro: previously I was running Red Hat 9 distro, and had installed this driver for my Canon scanner, and had used it for several years -- MANY THANKS!!!
I checked the forum: but didn't see this problem.

It would be nice to have a --verbose option which
(1)Display option file location, i.e., which (if any) option file was used
and/or
(2)List current options: these could then be piped into a resource file and then manually edited.
