Hello,
I have 2 powerbuttons detected through input-layer.
Standard - Power Button (FF) [event0]
Standard - Power Button (CM)[event1]
So I should be able to map an event from a remote button (IR) to a push event on the power button to shutdown the box with my remote.
I could not find any examples on how to do this, its also not mentioned as a possibility for use of gizmod. So can...

The remote says medion it came with a sss7134 tv-card. It has the same button-layout as a avermedia-98. Thats why I named the remote avermedia. It works with lirc reading /dev/input/event2.
This is how gizmod -g sees the remote:

When I discovered gizmod I was interested because of mythtv and better use of the remote control.
So I read the documentation wiki etc.
Messing with the scripts did not get me anywhere. So maybe someone can point out some direction ?
I have a remote control from tv-card wich works fine with lirc and mythtv.
I already found out they do not work together (when mythtv is reading lircrc...
