The 0.6 beta1 release is now considered stable, as no confirmed bug has been found. If you use 0.6b1 you can stick with this version and assume you have the latest stable.
Works in progres on 0.7. New features will include:
- iproute2 support for interface based detection
- update plugins support for beter integration with known dynamic DNS services.

IPdetect 0.6 beta1 has been released. This is the milestone from previous release. Now possible interface based address detection is many times faster than browser based one (and much less annoying for some IP pages admins). The new command line switches allow overriding of most configuration options. Better logging and debuging allows better tracking of problems. And still, this is POSIX shell...

The new version of IPdetect was released: 0.56. This is bugfix release without new features, created after I received bug reports complaining about script's POSIX incompatibility. It should be fixed now.
The new version 0.6 is being intensively tested, to be released in few days. New features will include:
- interface IP detection
- more command line switches to override config options

The first stable release of IPdetect has been released. This is the code from 0.55 beta1 version, considered stable after almost half a year of testing with no real bug submited.

IPdetect version 0.55b1 has been released. This is beta release, please report found bugs to author (koshmar/DELETE/@poczta.fm).
Changes include: improved compatibility with different versions of 'host' utility, better logging (forced updates are no longer under 'change' mark), better debug mode, better command line support, and some minor bugfixes.

IPdetect version 0.51b1 has been released. This is beta release, please report found bugs to author (koshmar/DELETE/@poczta.fm).
Changes include: added command line option to force IP detection, added possibility of setting browser identification string (USER_AGENT) for wget and cURL on IP detection (to provide access to IP sites that prohibit use of wget and cURL).
