What's happening?

  • Index compressed files and archives

(This may already be supplied by some library. I don't know.) I would install this, despite its heavy dependency set (I don't have any web-server-related stuff installed; I think the only dependency I *do* have installed is Java itself), but nearly all the files on my computer I would want it to index are either locked up in tarballs and other archives or compressed themselves. Having it able to...

  • Support compressed files and archives

(If you already do this, just say so.) I would love to install this, despite the relatively-large disk space penalty of its dependencies (tomcat, etc. -- everything except Java itself) ... but nearly all the files I would want it to index are either locked up in compressed tarballs (or other archives), or compressed themselves. Indexing within tarballs would move this from a wishlist...

  • Does nothing on ./

Both recursively and not (and with and without --dry-run), for me "detox ." and "detox ./" both cause detox to exit "successfully" without actually having done anything except, with -v, print that it's "Scanning: ." or "Scanning: ./" This is on my Gentoo Linux system, with both the version currently in the tree (1.2.0_rc3) and my renaming of the ebuild (Gentoo is basically a reimplementation...

  • Comment: Impossible to Monitor a Software Map category

The screenshot was taken on Windows XP in one of my school's computer labs (but I'm not in that lab right now and so can't check the browser version on those machines); I reported the issue on an amd64 SuSE Linux machine in another computer lab (which I'm on right now but which has Firefox apparently in the middle of an upgrade and unavailable to check the version), and have also confirmed it on...

  • Comment: Impossible to Monitor a Software Map category

(I tried to submit this once already, and it appears to have lost my comment. Retrying; I apologize if it got through twice.) I tried as you suggested, but no such link exists. See attached screenshot. File Added: Screen02.JPG.

  • Impossible to Monitor a Software Map category

The relevant portion of the "Monitored Resources" page says: "You can monitor any category in the Software Map and receive a daily email detailing new projects that have registered with that category (or any sub-category), or projects that have created new file releases during the past day. To enable monitoring of a category, find the category you're interested in in the software map and...
