I see... yea I can imagine an image based interface wouldn't lend itself to a non-touch screen very easily. Thanks for the info... perhaps I can figure out enough of the VLC web interface to do something simple, then.
I haven't looked at your code at all, but are the calls to the VLC web interface "libraryized" enough to work with any UI?.

I use a smartphone without a touch screen, and I would love to use VLC remote, except obviously, it only supports touch screens.
