Oké, after some more searching I figured out that the problem come's with
Kubuntu 9.10 Karmic.
I did a fresh install of Karmic and installed the newest version of Qdvdauthor. There are no problem when loading a project with just plain thumbnails as buttons. When I try to make or load a project with movie buttons everything seems to panic. Qdvdauthor starts to consume a lot of my cpu and even...

I noticed that loading stops when the thumbnails are getting in sight.
I tried to make a brand new project and on the moment I wanted to insert the thumbnails in the submenu 'q'dvdauthor crashed.

I just had the newest update of qdvdauthor.
I tried to load a project (I made it with the older version) and Qdvdauthor crashed with this error:
Segmentatiefout (geheugendump gemaakt)
and I think in English this should be:
Segmentationfault (made memorydump)
Anything is welcome.

On this moment I'm working on a project with 20 video file's (2hr. each).
So I make DVD structures with 4 video files in one otherwise I need at least 10 4,5GB DVD's. I couldn't find a option to mark a break point in the 8GB project.

I tried the new version and the default button option works great.
A other thing which finally works here is the install template option.
I used to get a error when I tried to connect with the mirror... not anymore!!!

I found some time to try two different projects.
I compiled the newest CVS (24-07-2009) and set the default button option.
When I press the second button in the main-menu (Chapter-button) then in the submenu the second button will be highlighted. When I press the third button (back to main-menu) then the third button in the main-menu is highlighted.
Even when I select the default button is 1.

Tank you for fixing this problem.
I already found the ButtonDialog but as you find out it didn't work. So I thought it wasn't the right way to do it. I will test the CVS.... But first we're going on a two week holiday trip :)

Hello.
I am searching for a way to make a default button in a menu.
So when I press the 'go to chapter' button and the dvd switch to the chapters menu it would be great to see button 1 highlighted. Now it's always a surprise which one is highlighted.
I know found that I have to fill in something in the pre command section of a menu but I can't find the right commands.
I hope someone can...

I compiled the latest CVS (19-07-'09) to test the Snapshot (which worked fine) and noticed that the Shadows did not work.
