Google seems to use a server farm for sending messages and subsequent retries don't always come from the same server. According to their SPF records, the following IP ranges are authorized to send mail on behalf of the gmail.com and google.com domains:
216.239.56.0-216.239.57.255
64.233.160.0-64.233.191.255
66.249.80.0-66.249.95.255
72.14.192.0-72.14.255.255.
