Windows XP (SP2) I have been using v1.9 for a few years now. Today I tried v1.16. It runs OK with no parameters (i.e. no help file to open) but it hangs upon attempting to load simple .chm files that it v1.9 had no problem with. For example, the .chm file that comes with Microsoft's Process Explorer found here:

The BufferSwitcher and commands "previous buffer", "next buffer" no longer follow the sort order specified in Global Options | View. This worked in pre11 (the last version I used).

Sorry, I didn't intend to file a duplicate report. I did follow up your comment and found how to set required fields; I turned on YEAR and STORAGE MEDIUM. This works beautifully! Thanks! Perhaps this incident could become a quick tip, if not already.

When updating a record (e.g. a movie record) that was entered in a previous version of datacrow, "empty" fields are not updated unless the specific "Overwrite field" boxes are checked. Perhaps the check for "emptyness" could be expanded to include any amount of only whitespace (space, tab, etc.)

FYI, the F8 key seems to work only then the module pane has focus. Click on another area of the screen makes the F8 key not work.

In the movie (and other?) module(s), the Title field seems to be the primary key for this table as I can't add a duplicate. Please change this. The primary key should be something else (the internal item number?). Duplicates Titles should be allowed. Many movies have the same title but are made in different years (i.e. remakes). Also I have the same movie on two different media, DVD and HD...

Even worse, I can't close the window no matter which button I push. They all do nothing (that I can see) and the window remains.

In a movie window, I opened the "Genre" field and then attempted to close that window. A box popped up saying that changes were made, would I like to save now? I don't want to save but I can't find a way to close the window without save the "change". Also I don't think I made any change, so I'm not sure why this box popped up in the first place...

Using the update feature directly on an actor or director record works fine. But when attempting to update a movie's actors inside the movie window (by clicking the button by the actors), the udpate window seems to be using the movie update, not the actor update. This can be seen by checking the box "Overwrite existing values ?" and then opening the "Overwritable fields" box. The list of fields...
