I can confirm this bug as well (Vista, .net 3.5 SP1, KeePass 2.08) .
When set "start minimized" in the shortcut options and "minimize to tray" in KP's options, KP will crash as described above.
As a workaround, I set KP to minimize after opening a database, but a strage effect nevertheless.
